Welcome to the Department of Veterinary Parasitology and Entomology.
As the Head of Department, I warmly welcome students, scholars, and collaborators to the Department of Veterinary Parasitology and Entomology at the University of Ilorin. Our department is committed to advancing knowledge of parasitic and insect-borne diseases that affect animal and human health, especially within the context of tropical agriculture and public health. We pride ourselves on a multidisciplinary approach, integrating expertise in Veterinary Protozoology, Helminthology, and Entomology to tackle the challenges of parasitic diseases. Our programs are designed to provide students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for research, disease control, and public health policy. With a faculty of experienced academics and researchers, we offer comprehensive undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs, including specialized degrees in Veterinary Protozoology, Helminthology, and Entomology. Our research spans from molecular studies to field-based interventions, promoting innovation and lifelong learning.
